Tennessee

By state law, property is assessed as follows:

-          Residential land and improvements: 25% of its “fair market value” or “use value” – (so the multiplier is 4)

-          Commercial property: 40% of its “fair market value” – (so the multiplier is 2.5)

Same information is available at http://www.assessment.cot.tn.gov/RE_Assessment/.
